Reality and Shatner

It was Andi "Colombo" Cooper's Birthday last month. To celebrate I got him the remastered Original Series of Star Trek.

I being a TNG fan had never really taken interest in TOS, it just seemed out of Date and I preferred the level headed Picard to Kirk.

However since getting Andi's present we've been watching in chronological order, as opposed to broadcast date (yes, we're THAT dedicated to EVERYTHING we're passionate about) and things seem to make a lot more sense, characters are developing naturally and instead of getting a mish mash of different designs for the enterprise and it's crew, we get a fluid evolution.

Anyway due to this re-education of TOS I've learned about how revolutionary this series was, and how I can appreciate Captain Kirk and William Shatner's acting, as so far, it hasn't really become all that bad, there's plenty of wooden acting, but none of it so far (apart from Enemy Within) has come from Bill Shatner himself.

Anyway what I'm blabbering on about is the inspiration and the social example Star Trek set for a future generation, how we should treat each other, morals, and technology to invent for the future. Gene Roddenbry, you are a genius!

This is something we hope to continue to do: inspire people to make a better world in which to live, educate, to tell stories that emotionally connect to each individual on the planet using the latest and greatest technologies about, and try and tailor content to suit the user weather it be at the Cinema, on TV, on a laptop, PC, Radio, Comic Book, Video Games Console or iPhone/Pod/Pad. It's all going to be covered here at Biscuit HQ!

Anyway why this blog is so full of Star Trek analogies with reality and Biscuits is because after tweaking Dead Lucky for the 23rd draft we're finally coming to the last graphic here and there. The sound is on standby, and music just needs to be tweaked to fit our latest and last edit before Cannes submission. After a hard day and night slaving away over a hot Mac/Final Cut Machine, we decided to watch back to back TOS  until the wee hours of the morning to celebrate. What a night! :-)
